5 years ago I locked myself up for a few months and did nothing but write. 2007 was a growing pain. Of all the songs I wrote, eight of them became what I refer to as Songs From A Black Room. It was a record I never intended anyone to hear. That may be why it’s my favorite. With all the cracks and pops, room noises and sometimes out of tune playing and singing, it’s what it was intended to be. Honest and bare. I want it out there now. So to kick off a year where the plan is to get as much music out there as possible I want to start with this. Hopefully it will be the perfect beginning and reminder for me to keep being honest from here on out. I don’t believe in New Year’s Resolutions, but for those of you that do perhaps this is something like it.
Here’s what’s gonna happen. Every Thursday of this month I’ll be streaming 2 tracks from Songs From A Black Room on Soundlcoud.com. For those of you that are signed up for the newsletter you’ll be receiving the link directly. It will also be accessible on social media sites. By the end of January Songs From A Black Room will be fully streaming. Plans for a download is currently in the works.
Thank you all for going along for the ride with me. I look forward to sharing more music with you throughout the year.
Be well.
